SGI - Advanced Urban / Rural Defensive Marksman (Sniper Course)

(4-Days / 40-hours)

This course has been determined to qualify for AZ POST (continuing or proficiency) training credit.

The Solutions Group International (SGI) Advanced Urban Defensive Marksman - AUDM course is designed to provide progressive, advanced training to those skills taught in the SGI Urban Sniper Craft course. The SGI AUSC course focuses on preparing law enforcement snipers for tactical deployment and surveillance operations requiring observation and concealment techniques in an urban environment. Skill sets taught during the basic Urban Sniper Craft course are revisited. A strong emphasis is placed on hide construction and deployment tactics in an urban environment, shooting through glass, tactical diagramming, combat and surgical marksmanship skills, urban field-craft/stalking skills, and observation/reporting techniques. Advanced reality based tactical training scenarios and urban stalking exercises (FTX's) will enhance readiness for operational situations.

Instructors for this course will possess leadership, operational, and training experience from one or more of the following organizations:

  • U.S. Navy SEAL Team / DEVGRU Sniper Cadre
  • U.S. Army Special Forces / CAG
  • U.S. Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance (Force Recon) Company
  • U.S. Marine Corps Surveillance / Target Acquisition (STA) / Scout Sniper Platoons
  • Federal, State, County and Municipal - Law Enforcement SWAT Teams

  • Combat marksmanship, high angle firing
  • Ballistics (Shooting through Glass and Medians)
  • Sniper logs and range cards
  • Known distance firing
  • Night / Low Light operations
  • Situational Training Exercises (STXs)
