(1-Day / 10-hours)
The SGI Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course, is designed for the student who has already received basic medical training. Our course introduces students to evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care in the field.
Students are encouraged to bring their own personal or agency issued trauma kit in an effort to become familiar with the contents and their proper use. Realistic training scenarios will reinforce the need to operate tactically in hostile environments, including proper use of cover, cover fire and hand/arm signals. Students are expected to utilize any agency-issued equipment they typically train with and use on actual operations (i.e. medic bag, litters/drags, body armor, eye/ear protection etc) during this course.
Our course follows the guidelines established by NAEMT for the instruction and delivery of TCCC courses, which is fully compliant with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) guidelines. It is the only TCCC course format endorsed by the American College of Surgeons.
Our instructor cadre is comprised of Military Special Operations Medics with multiple deployments and actual field experience treating injured personnel in combat zones. Our medical training programs have direct physician oversight provided by our team of Emergency Trauma Physicians. This is a must take course for Law Enforcement, EMS, Paramedics, Tactical Team Medics, and other civilian EMS practitioners or First Responders.
