The Solutions Group International (SGI) Basic Personal Security Detail - BPSD™ Prep-Course was developed in response to a growing need to prepare individuals prior to them entering a PSD selection course. The SGI BPSD™ course is a basic course for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Protective Security. The course is designed to introduce students to the world of Protective Security Operations. Solutions Group International's objective for the Basic Protective Security Detail Course is to have our students understand the industry standards and expectations of the private security companies' who offer the Protective Security Specialist selection courses. SGI offers this opportunity for beginners to build a solid platform as a precursor to a career in Protective Security, Executive Protection, and Site Security.

All SGI Instructors for this course are U.S. State Department WPPS certified and specialize in many disciplines related to protective security. The Instructors at SGI have many years of real-world experience and sought after expertise in training and operations on protective details, including overseas contracts for the U.S. Department of State and Department of Defense.

What to expect from your SGI Instructors? SGI will not only deliver course instruction, we will provide daily student evaluations, mentorship, and progressive counseling. Our course provides and demands a professional classroom environment without the pressure of a selection course. At SGI we encourage student/instructor interaction with Q&A, work toward instilling situational awareness amongst all course attendees, and encourage cultural awareness and sensitivity for the various areas of operation where students will likely be employed.

The SGI - Basic Protective Security Detail BPSD™ course provides all classroom materials, as well as all materials for the various practical exercises. Our course includes various topics of instruction on the basic tenants of PSD work, practical exercises to further develop the skills taught during the course, and a final PSD culmination exercise. A strong emphasis will be placed on the specific areas of instruction where we have seen most students fail during selection. Course attendees who participate and successfully complete our BPSD™ training program will possess the requisite skills and confidence to enter a PSD selection course and expect nothing less then a favorable outcome.

In addition to providing course attendees with a high level of instruction, SGI will endeavor assist everyone who successfully completes our course with an opportunity for job placement. Although we make no guarantees on selection, we will guarantee that your names and contact information will be forwarded to the many recruiters we have strong relationships with, that work with, or for the major security companies operating oversees.
