"Decide to be aggressive enough...quickly enough"
This course begins with a comprehensive review of Pistol Craft I, II, III, and IV. Pistol Craft V will introduce shooters to the team concept of 2-man shooting techniques with an emphasis on communications, fire discipline, and areas of responsibility. Close quarter weapon retention and take-away techniques will also be taught. The course will conclude with a realistic training scenario that will incorporate all of the skills taught in Pistol Craft I, II, III, IV, and V.
Course content includes:
- Weapon Safety and Range Commands
- 2-Person Team Concept (Contact / Cover)
- Communication
- Fire Discipline
- Sectors of Fire (areas of responsibility)
- Team Drills (Target Arrays / Caterpillar)
- Weapon Retention
- Open Hand and Elbow Strikes
- Weapon take-away techniques
- Man vs. Man (plate drill)
- Intro: Tactical Pistol Course (Federal Air Marshal Course of Fire)
