SGI - Tactical Training

The Solutions Group International (SGI) Tactical Training for Actors (S.W.A.T. Workshop) is a hands-on tactical training course specifically designed for actors, screenwriters, and stunt professionals who are serious about their craft and about their safety. The SGI Tactical Training for Actors (S.W.A.T. Workshop) is taught by experienced Technical Advisors who are veteran Law Enforcement and Military Special Operations personnel.  What makes our instructor cadre unique is that they have recent experience working on major film and television productions.  This difference alone makes the SGI course the complete package for those looking to enhance their existing skillset.  

Course content includes:

• Tactical Choreography
• Tactical Team Movement
• Weapon Nomenclature (Commonly used Firearms)
• Weapons Handling Skills (Law Enforcement / Military) Techniques
• Hazards of Blanks / Safety Concerns
• Deployment of Tactical Equipment (Ballistic Shields / Breaching Tools etc.)
• Radio Communication / Operator Jargon

Participants handle both prop firearms and real firearms under the watchful eye of experienced law enforcement and military instructors and get to practice working with these weapons systems during reality-based training scenarios in a controlled environment.

The SGI Tactical Training for Actors course will provide you with the fundamental skills and confidence to accurately and realistically portray any character where you are required to handle a firearm (i.e. handgun, shotgun, assault rifle, etc).
